AXYZ TRIDENT – CNC routing and cutting system

AXYZ TRIDENT is a CNC routing and cutting system for jobs that need more than a router alone. The manufacturer's standard three-tool configuration comprises a routing spindle, a tangential knife and an oscillating knife. This combines rigid-sheet routing and knife cutting in one machine. Different materials in one workflow TRIDENT supports sign and display production using corrugated cardboard or plastic, foam board, rubber, vinyl, plywood, acrylic, aluminium composite or aluminium. Each material needs the appropriate tool and machining parameters. Routing and knife cutting perform different tasks and cannot be assessed using one universal speed figure. Processing printed workpieces The AXYZ Vision System locates a printed workpiece and helps align the cutting path with the print. Additional automation options include knife calibration and a tool-tip sensor. Confirm their inclusion in the specific configuration separately. Working area sizes The 4000 series has a working width of 1,524 mm, with length options from 2,438 to 7,315 mm. The 5000 series is 1,840 mm wide and the 6000 series is 2,159 mm wide; both offer lengths from 3,048 to 7,315 mm. Choose the model according to the largest workpiece, loading method and available workshop space. Travel speed versus cutting performance The manufacturer specifies X- and Y-axis travel speeds of up to 55 m/min and knife-head Z-axis movement of up to 25 m/min. These are axis travel speeds, not guaranteed material cutting rates. Actual settings depend on material thickness, tooling, cutting path and required edge quality.
